Dear Participants! Please note that when it comes to finding a suitable land, real estate agents and websites like Zillow (or similar platforms) are NOT helpful to us.
Non-standard projects require non-standard approaches.
If we were to rely solely on real estate agents and search for land exclusively through websites, it would appear – here in Silicon Valley in particular – that vacant lots simply do not exist. But they do!
Our strategy involves identifying vacant parcels of land – either by scanning maps or by physically walking through our target neighborhoods – and find lots that are not currently listed for sale; we then thoroughly review all property records or disclosures (if available) and find out the owner’s name, address, and contact details (obtained through City and County records), and subsequently reach out to owners – via phone, mail or email – with an offer.
Only through such collective effort will we be able to find the ideal parcel!
